Summary
Multiple ways on how to verify the number of cores and threads of a processor
Description
Not showing the correct number of cores and threads as indicated for the processor model, when using third party applications.
Resolution
Through Windows Task Manager:
Open Task Manager (press Ctrl+Shift+Esc)
Select Performance tab
Look for Cores and Logical Processors (Threads)
Through Windows Device Manager:
Open Device Manager (in the search box of the taskbar, type in "Device Manager", then select Open)
Click on ">" to expand the Processors section
Count the number of entries to get the number of logical processors
You can also use the Intel® Processor Identification Utility:
In the utility's PROCESSOR FREQUENCY section, look for Threads and Cores
